CA, 07 Aug 2020
Warning: This video contains violent images. Discretion advised. A small but violent protest took place near the entrance to parliament in Beirut, Lebanon on Thursday, as anger continued to rise in the city over the deadly blast Tuesday that killed at least 137 people and injured thousands.
The two explosions that erupted in the city's port left up to 250,000 without habitable homes, and the dead and injured are still being recovered from the rubble of buildings that were flattened.
Riot police were deployed in response to the protest after demonstrators burned objects and hurled rocks at security forces.
