After massive backlash from the police, the French government backtracked on its chokeholds ban, which it previously deemed dangerous. While the temporary ban was in place, the police have started to test stun guns for wider use as a new method to apprehend suspects, despite safety concerns. And it seems there is no backtracking on this.
