Russia referendum: opposition parties urge boycott or vote against

Voting has begun in a Russian referendum that could see President Vladimir Putin extend his term in office till 2036. With the country reporting 7,000 new coronavirus infections on Thursday, FRANCE 24 correspondent Nick Holdsworth says authorities are taking measures to prevent further spikes in infections during the voting process, though critics remain unconvinced of the motives.
