Tibetan knife is essential and indispensable in Tibetan people's daily life. Yiong knife has a long history with nearly 400 years. It is well known for its special material and craftsmanship. The material consists of three kinds of iron from the local mountain. Covered by fish skin, the knife's handle and sheath are made of wood from the primeval forests in Yiong town. Another feature of Yiong knife is that there are color stripes like rainbow on the surface, thus it is also called “rainbow knife.” The knife is still very precious, and can be as expensive as $100,000.
