Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden on Monday angrily slammed alleged comments made by President Trump about U.S. military veterans and fallen service members.

Speaking to American labour union president Richard Trumka during a virtual event with union members in Pennsylvania, Biden called Trump “un-American.”

The Atlantic published allegations, many of them independently confirmed by The Associated Press, that Trump had referred to fallen and captured U.S. service members as “losers” and “suckers.”

Trump and his allies have dismissed the Atlantic report as false and depicted the president – who did not serve in the military – as a staunch supporter of service members and veterans.
