Coronavirus outbreak: Manitoba to enter Phase 3 of reopening next Sunday with eased measures | FULL

CA, 18 Jun 2020
Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister announced on Wednesday that the province will be entering Phase 3 of reopening on Sunday, June 21.

Phase 3 will include removing the maximum capacity of 300 people at any site, given that people can physically be divided into groups of 50 or less indoors and 100 or less outdoors.

Pallister said people from B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, North West territories, Yukon, Nunavut and people living in north west Ontario and west of Terrace Bay will be allowed to visit Manitoba without having to self-isolate for 14 days,

Child-care facilities can open to full capacity and retail occupancy limits will be removed.

Bars and restaurants can open to full capacity, a change from the draft plan, which previously said they could open to 75 per cent capacity.

Manitoba has a total of 293 cases of COVID-19 and seven deaths as of Wedensday.
