China successfully lands spacecraft on moon to retrieve lunar rocks
Guardian, 02 Dec 2020
China successfully landed a spacecraft on the moon's surface, according to Chinese state media. The Chang'e-5 spacecraft drilled into the surface of the moon to collect soil early Wednesday. If the return journey is successful, China will be only the third country to have retrieved samples from the moon, following the US and Soviet Union in the 60s and 70s.
