Police in Myanmar were reported to fire rubber bullets at anti-coup protesters on February 9 as demonstrations continued across the country. Gunfire was heard at rallies in the capital, Naypyidaw, and water cannons were used to disperse crowds in several cities. At least 27 people were arrested in the city of Mandalay, where a curfew and gathering ban of more than five people were imposed a day before.
