No charges against police officer who shot Jacob Blake
Al Jazeera, 06 Jan 2021
A police officer who shot a 29-year-old Black man in the US state of Wisconsin in August will not face criminal charges.
The Kenosha County District Attorney cleared Officer Rusten Sheskey of any crime, after he shot Jacob Blake in the back, leaving him paralysed from the waist down.
There have been unprecedented protests this year over multiple police shootings of Black people in the United States.
Al Jazeera’s Gabriel Elizondo reports from Washington, DC, the US.
