Canada’s defence minister refused to look at Vance allegations in 2018: Ex-military ombudsman

Canada’s former military ombudsman Gary Walbourne testified Wednesday that Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan refused to see evidence supporting an allegation of inappropriate behaviour against Gen. Jonathan Vance during a 2018 meeting.

Walbourne appeared before the defence committee as part of a study launched in the wake of exclusive reporting by Global News that Vance is facing allegations of inappropriate behaviour with two female subordinates.
