Despite millions of Britons receiving their Covid-19 vaccine, scientists and ministers have warned the public not to expect a quick and easy way out of lockdown.

The vaccine has been shown to increase protection against the coronavirus disease, but it is not yet known whether it can stop you from catching and passing on the virus.
