Illegal Chinese police centres in Netherlands ordered to shut immediately

Dutch Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra has ordered the immediate closure of what Amsterdam says are illegal police offices set up by China in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, according to media reports on November 2, 2022. The move followed a report by a Spanish rights group accusing Beijing of operating illegal police stations overseas to silence dissidents. Beijing has denied allegations of any illegal activity.
