Lives cut short: the American children lost to stray bullets

US cities in 2020 recorded historic levels of gun violence. In Washington DC, 197 people have been victims of firearm homicides, the highest number in 15 years. Among them, minors like Davon McNeal, who was killed by a stray bullet during an anti-violence event organized by his mother.
