The German state of Saxony-Anhalt started vaccinations on Saturday, a day before the official rollout of the campaign. Tens of thousands of vaccine doses were delivered to the regional health authorities. Italy started administering jabs throughout the country. The first recipient was a nurse at a hospital in Rome.
