Each winter, it is common for rich hunters from Gulf countries to travel to Pakistan’s vast deserts to partake in falconry. Arab sheikhs are known for being enthusiastic hunters, falconry is considered a treasured tradition and the birds are used in lavish hunts. However Pakistan is also a major hotspot for falcon poaching.
