Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, along with Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, will react on Friday to the final report tabled in Parliament by the Emergencies Act Committee earlier in the day.

Canadians can expect some clarity on questions from the independent inquiry into the federal government’s decision to invoke the act last February during the trucker convoy protests in Ottawa, as police and politicians struggled to respond to demonstrations across the country.

Justice Paul Rouleau, who led the independent public inquiry into the “Freedom Convoy” and the federal government’s emergency powers, is releasing the report on Friday and will be tabled in Parliament just after noon eastern standard time.
