Perched on soda crates and using dining tables as music stands, a Hong Kong jazz band recently staged an enthusiastic performance at the 47-year-old Yuen Hing Lung noodle restaurant in Hong Kong. The show on a weekday evening in March 2021 was held at the 300 sq ft (28 sq metre) venue in the Sai Wan district because most of the city’s live music and entertainment have been forced to go quiet because of coronavirus restrictions.
