The SNP will fare the worst if Nicola Sturgeon resigns | Analysis
Telegraph, 19 Mar 2021
Columnist and former Scotland editor for The Telegraph, Alex Cochrane, dives into the latest developments on SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon and the Alex Salmond committee inquiry.
It's understood from a leak that MSPs on the committee have voted by five to four in ruling that Ms Sturgeon misled parliament over the government's inquiry into sexual misconduct allegations levelled at Mr Salmond.
An independent ruling on Ms Sturgeon and the ministerial code by lawyer James Hamilton is still to be released, but until then, the bigger picture to consider is the damage Ms Sturgeon's potential resignation will cause to the SNP.
