Hug it out | Russian would-be robber talked out of it by cashier

This is the moment a Russian would-be robber had a change of heart midway through trying to rob a convenience store.
The 24-year-old man had a knife and demanded that the cashier hand over the cash from the tills. But instead of handing over the money, the lady at the checkout appealed to the thief’s better judgment and talked him out of committing the crime. At the end of the heart to heart, the criminal hugs the cashier, and leaves the shop.
Unfortunately for the would-be perp, attempting a robbery, even a thwarted one, is still an offense. Hot on his heels, police officers caught the young man, who explained that he attempted the crime due to a lack of money. He’s been placed under house arrest.
As for the cashier? A future in hostage negotiations beckons...
