The British government has launched a COVID-19 tracing app in England and Wales, four months later than scheduled. Officials say its intended release was delayed due to problems with the initial design and the addition of features. People in England and Wales are being urged to download the app, which can instruct users to self-isolate for 14 days if it detects a nearby case. Coronavirus infections have surged in Britain this month, prompting a tightening of restrictions. The UK has over 400,000 cases, and over 41,000 deaths.
