The extremist group Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping of 300 students in Nigeria. And they are demanding a ransom for their release. Gunmen on motorcycles seized the students after storming an all-boys boarding school in the state of Katsina last Friday. Earlier, the Nigerian government said it was negotiating with suspects, but didn't reveal any more details. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) reports that the group has kidnapped more than 1,000 young students since 2013, saying they are against Western-style education.
