Luton mayor faces investigation after appearing to break lockdown rules

Luton mayor Tahir Malik is facing an investigation after footage obtained by the Telegraph showed him breaking lockdown rules.
Cllr Malik and two other Labour councillors were filmed at a gathering of around 12 people, including a local imam.
It comes as Luton was designated an “area of intervention” by Public Health England after a spike in Covid-19 cases.
A spokesman for Luton Borough Council said an investigation would be launched into Cllr Malik’s actions.
