NHS Trusts are warning that the relaxing of coronavirus restrictions over Christmas risks a third wave of infections.

NHS Providers - which represents more than 200 trusts in England - has urged Boris Johnson to exercise caution - when the current Tier levels across England are reviewed shortly.

The trusts warn that there are 10,000 fewer hospital beds available than last year - as well as winter flu pressures.
