US House passes bill to send $25bn to Postal Service, block cuts
Al Jazeera, 23 Aug 2020
The US House of Representatives has passed a bill to block changes to the postal system that threatened mail-in voting before the presidential election.
They voted to give the agency $25bn and rejected reforms that would have slowed mail delivery.
The Republican leader of the Senate said he is unlikely to take up the bill.
