US suspends temporary visas for foreign workers

The United States has suspended applications for temporary working visas, a move which will affect hundreds of thousands of foreign workers. Business groups have warned the suspension until the end of 2020 will hurt US growth and businesses. One of the visas concerned is the H-1B, which supplies specialised engineers to the technology sector.
