During the first day of the 2020 Republican National Convention (RNC), Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz delivered a speech that took aim at Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and praised U.S. President Donald Trump for "being the first president since [Ronald] Regan not to start a new war."

Gaetz went on compare a potential Biden administration to a horror film, in his view, and touted Trump's leadership abilities, calling him a "visionary."

The RNC is four days long, and while Trump is expected to formally accept the nomination on Thursday with a speech from the White House, he is reportedly also going to make appearances each night of the convention, though it's not confirmed whether this will be through live remarks, speeches or prerecorded video segments.
