Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Employment, Workforce Dev. & Disability Inclusion announced on Thursday that the Liberal government has tabled Bill C2, the Canada Recovery Benefits Act. This will include the Canada Recovery Benefit, the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit and the Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit.

Labour Minister Filomena Tassi said the bill will help Canadians move away from the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) while also providing workers the ability stay at home if they have COVID-19 as well as caregiver benefits.
