China says it is "deeply concerned" about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Ukraine. "The most urgent task is for all parties to cease fire and stop fighting as soon as possible, maintain maximum restraint, safeguard the safety and basic humanitarian needs of civilians," says the foreign ministry spokesperson.
