A Syrian soldier has been killed and five wounded in an Israeli attack near the Syrian capital Damascus. Syrian authorities have condemned the strike, saying it violated international law and the United Nations Charter.
The Israeli army acknowledged it struck Syrian facilities early on Wednesday using targeting aircraft. The military said it's in response to an anti-aircraft missile fired from Syria into northern Israel.
