Boris Johnson announces National Insurance rise of 1.25pc, including for working pensioners

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced a National Insurance rise of 1.25pc, including for pensioners, which will be levied on anyone who earns more than £9,564 per year.

The 1.25 per cent tax hike will fund landmark reforms of England's adult social care system and a backlog of NHS appointments.
