More than 1,000 people evacuated from an area threatened by a violent forest fire wake up in a gymnasium in Bormes-les-Mimosas, in the Var department of France. The facility had already welcomed "fire survivors" during the 2017 fires. The prefecture specifies that among the "thousands" of evacuees are holidaymakers from six campsites in the region.
