The Taliban have held their first official news briefing since their seizure of Kabul. The group talked about relations with other countries and the rights of women, and say they don't want any internal or external enemies, and intend to form an inclusive government in Afghanistan. Earlier, the Taliban declared a nationwide amnesty for all government officials and urged them to return to work on Tuesday. That's two days after taking control of Kabul, the last step in a lightning sweep through Afghanistan. A Taliban spokesman said the situation was under control, and law and order returned to the capital. Flights evacuating diplomats and civilians from Kabul's airport also resumed. Chaos earlier broke out in the airport when huge crowds trying to leave the country mobbed the tarmac. The Taliban said the war in Afghanistan is over and negotiations are underway for an "open" and "inclusive" Islamic government. So how is the so-called peaceful transfer of power shaping up? Would the Taliban keep its word of protecting women's rights and bring calm to the country?
