Britney Spears calls for father to face conservatorship abuse charges

Britney Spears said she wanted her father charged with conservatorship "abuse" on Wednesday in the latest court hearing over the controversial arrangement.

The 39-year-old pop star demanded that her father Jamie Spears be stripped of legal control of her career and finances as she addressed a Los Angeles court for the second time in less than a month.

In a victory for the singer, Judge Brenda Penny, who oversaw the hearing, permitted her request to hire a lawyer of her choosing.
