COVID-19: Link between infections, hospitalisations and deaths 'severely weakened'

The link between cases, hospitalisations and deaths is “severely weakened” but not yet broken.
Sir Ian Diamond, who sits on SAGE, said we could see 100,000 cases a day soon but the current prevalence is “still slightly less than a third of where we were on the 2 January”.
