Taliban close border crossing with Pakistan leaving Afghans stranded

The Taliban have closed the Afghanistan border with Pakistan, leaving 1,500 Afghans stranded.
The border closure is the result of a visa dispute between the group and Pakistan.
A statement from the group said: "The border will stay closed until Pakistan allows all Afghans to cross on the bases of our old procedure."
The United States told American citizens to leave Afghanistan after the Taliban captured its second provincial capital in less than 24 hours.
