Facebook whistleblower testifies before US Senate

The US Senate is expected to hear Frances Haugen, a former product manager on the civic misinformation team at Facebook on the tech firm’s impact on children’s health, in a hearing titled "Protecting Kids Online".

According to the whistleblower, Facebook repeatedly prioritized its profit over clamping down on hate speech and misinformation.
