A man affiliated with a right-wing group was shot and killed on Saturday as a large group of Trump supporters travelled through Portland, clashing with Black Lives Matter protesters.

Videos showed the President's supporters firing paintball pellets at opponents and using bear spray as counter-protesters attempted to block their caravan from passing through the streets.

It came two days after Trump invoked Portland as a liberal city overrun with violence in a speech at the Republican national convention as part of his re-election campaign.
