Telegraph, 03 Sep 2020
President Donald Trump on Wednesday talked up his administration's record in tackling violent protests in Portland and cities across the United States.
"For the sake of all Americans, we must uphold the rule of law and defend the American dream for every child in our land. We must teach our children that America is the land of heroes," Trump said.
The president has referred to protest-related violence as “domestic terror” while decrying “violent mobs.”
Trump was speaking before a sizable crowd, including at least 25 WWII veterans in Wilmington, North Carolina on Wednesday.
