Michael Barrett, Conservative Shadow Minister for Ethics, and Pierre Poilievre, Conservative Shadow Minister for Finance are expected to speak on Friday about the now-cancelled federal contract with WE Charity after news that two of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's relatives have collectively received hundreds of thousands of dollars in speaking fees from the WE organization.

The Conservatives are now calling for Parliament to be "immediately" recalled and all documents related to the cancelled contract be made public.

The organization was originally selected by the government to administer a $900-million federal grant program for students and recent graduates volunteering this summer amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
