Analysis: the implications of US withdrawal from Afghanistan

US President Joe Biden has set a September 11 deadline to withdraw troops from Afghanistan. FRANCE 24’s international affairs editor Philip Turle says the move should come as no surprise, with the president having stood against the troop surge when predecessor Barack Obama was in office. However, questions remain as to the implications of the decision.
