The Duke of Edinburgh was laid to rest at a ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. Prince Philip's coffin was carried to the chapel on a custom Land Rover hearse, escorted by senior royals on foot. After a minute's silence, it was borne through the chapel nave to a small choir of only four. The Queen, in black, sat alone as she paid a final farewell to her husband of 73 years.
