The death toll from a collapsed condo complex in Surfside, Fla. has risen to 79 after another body was discovered, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Lavine Cava said Friday afternoon.

Earlier in the day, Levine Cava had called it “heartbreaking” after the recovery of 14 victims. There remains 61 people still unaccounted for.

Levine Cava said there was some good news as a cat, lost since the collapse, had been found and reunited with their family.

The painstaking search for survivors shifted to a recovery effort at midnight Wednesday after authorities said they had come to the agonizing conclusion that there was “no chance of life” in the rubble of the Champlain Towers South condo building.
