Death toll in Florida building collapse rises to five
Al Jazeera, 27 Jun 2021
In Florida, a fire is hampering the search for survivors in the rubble of a 12-storey building that collapsed on Thursday.
At least five people have now died and 156 others are still unaccounted for at the Champlain Towers South condominium.
As hopes fade for anyone being found alive, it has emerged that concerns were raised about the building years ago.
Miami-Dade county has announced an immediate government review of all older buildings.
Al Jazeera’s Heidi Zhou-Castro reports from the US city of Miami, Florida.
