Covid-19 in Europe: Concern as infections surge in France, Germany and Spain

Covid-19 infections surge in Europe. Spain’s hospitals are beginning to see another surge in patients, with the health ministry reporting this week that 805 people had been hospitalised over the past seven days. In France, more than 2,500 new coronavirus cases were registered in 24 hours on August 13, in the sharpest increase since May.
