Police in Rochester, NY rush demonstrators protesting death of Daniel Prude
CA, 03 Sep 2020
Protesters faced off against police in Rochester, N.Y., on Wednesday with video of the demonstration appearing to show officers rush demonstrators.
People had gathered to protest the death of Daniel Prude after the department released body cam footage of his arrest in March.
Video of the arrest shows officer pressing their body weight onto the 41-year-old while trying to restrain him during his arrest on March 23. Prude was taken to the hospital, where he later died from “complications of asphyxia in the setting of a physical restraint.”
His death has since been ruled a homicide.
