The mayor of Portland, Oregon was among protesters as they were tear gassed by law enforcement during another night of demonstrations in his city. But at a separate rally he was also heckled by some protesters, who are demanding his resignation. Wheeler is seen with his back to the camera, in a black shirt, in the eyewitness video of the tear gas incident. It occurred outside Portland's Justice Center. Federal agents housed in the Justice Center showed no sign of retreating, regularly going out of the building to throw smoke bombs and tear gas towards protesters.
