Coronavirus will be with us until at least the middle of next year, Boris Johnson has said, as he warned there were still "tough times ahead".
Speaking on his one-year anniversary as Prime Minister, Mr Johnson said: "It’s been a very nasty thing.
"I think that by the middle of next year we will be well on the way past it. But we must be clear, I do still think we have tough times ahead in terms of keeping this virus under control... And tough times ahead economically."
However he stressed his confidence that the country would "bounce back stronger than ever before".
