On a visit to France, Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Richard Marles is welcomed at the Préfecture maritime de l'Atlantique in Brest, northwestern France, by the French Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu. Marles' visit comes one year after Australia scrapped a submarine deal with France, drawing fury from Paris.
