Mourners queue days in advance in London to see late Queen's coffin
Telegraph, 13 Sep 2022
Breaking news - The first mourners to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II lying in state in Westminster Hall started queuing on Monday, even though the doors will not open until 5pm on Wednesday.
Even once the official queue begins, mourners have been warned they may have to wait for up to 30 hours.
Michelle Donelan, the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport who is in charge of the arrangements for the public to pay their respects, sent a WhatsApp message to Conservative MPs advising that mourners faced lengthy delays to file past the late Queen’s coffin during her four days lying in state in London.
