U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to hold a press briefing in the White House on Monday. The president has signed multiple executive orders on Saturday after talks over the latest coronavirus stimulus package broke down.

The orders included deferring the payroll tax until the end of year, extending the unemployment bonus, which drops to US$400 from the US$600 originally being received, defer student loans and forgive interest until further notice, and extend eviction moratoriums.

Trump's press secretary Kayleigh McEnany slammed the Democratic Party leadership earlier on Monday after they failed to come to a deal with the White House over coronavirus relief funding, saying that Trump was forced to take executive action to get the relief funding to Americans in need.
